Leveraging Video and Social Media to Grow Your Agency

Video is quickly becoming the communication tool of choice for educators and marketers. Blame it on our seven-second attention spans, TV-centric culture or just plain laziness, but there’s been a steady migration from the written word to moving images with sounds – and that’s not a bad thing.

 

Video allows you to capture emotion while communicating efficiently and descriptively in a way that doesn’t always translate to the written (or typed) word. These inherent benefits are what make video such a valuable teaching tool. SWAT team member.  Mr. Dunford also shares sage perspective in discussing what he calls the “paralysis” that many insurance agencies are currently battling, and how they can overcome it.

 

Rounding out the educational video trifecta is “Getting Savvy about Social Network Marketing – and Results”, which is being featured on National Underwriter’s Life and Health website. In this video, Astonish co-founder and President Tim Sawyer gets to the core of social media by keying in on the community-centric nature and stressing its role in a larger insurance agency marketing and management system. 

 

There’s a reason YouTube and Hulu are two of the most popular websites in the universe. People love to binge on information, but the days of long-winded, text-based content is waning.
